We have seen the lengthy closure of some of our cultural attractions in the World Heritage Site as well as pressures on the retail, leisure and business sectors due to restrictions introduced to counter the impact of the pandemic. To counter this, Visit Greenwich has been taking forward a comprehensive Covid-19 Recovery Strategy. The borough-wide plan involved a range of commercial and non-commercial partners including Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site, under the banner Royal Greenwich, It’s Time, aimed at kick starting the local economy.
Season’s greetings 2020

Season’s greetings from the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site
As we approach the end of the year, we can reflect on what a difficult year it has been. The Covid-19 pandemic has been challenging for everyone across the country, not least in the heritage sector and, more closely to home, in Greenwich. We remind ourselves of the amazing place that is the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site.
The Greenwich local recovery plan also states the importance for businesses to reassure and demonstrate to visitors and staff that they are safe and meet Covid-19 guidelines. VisitEngland has launched a new safe industry standard called Good To Go. It is very encouraging that many key attractions have successfully applied for the accreditation already.
Maritime Greenwich is a safe and welcoming place to visit with a host of World Class attractions to enjoy. Please come and join us. Wishing you the very best for the festive period and into the new year, 2021.
