The Painted Hall reopens to the public

The Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich will reopen on 23 March 2019 after a two year National Lottery Funded conservation project which has brought its magnificent painted interior vividly back to life.

Discovery of original Hawksmoor drawing during St Alfege Church research

An original drawing by Nicholas Hawksmoor, one of England’s most significant architects, has recently been discovered at Greenwich Heritage Centre by Richard Hill of Richard Griffiths architects. The doscovery was made during research for a National Lottery funded project, St Alfege Church - Heart of  Greenwich, Place and People.
